Our Shipping Policy
You can trust that your order will be processed quickly and delivered safely. We can ship rugs (108 inches wide or smaller after they are rolled up) anywhere in the United States using the shipping method provided. When you place an order, we will estimate delivery dates based upon the carrier's timetable, shipping method selected and your shipment’s destination.
Please allow 5 days in addition to transportation for the actual cleaning. Our shipping charges are determined by the weight and dimensions of your order, including applicable sales tax. We do not ship to destinations outside the United States.
Please understand that your freight rate includes: (1) sending you a "Safety Shipping Pack" to place your rug in, (2) pre-paid shipping bag and sealer to send your rug to MyRugCleaner.com's plant and (3) the cost associated with returning your rug to your door smelling fresh and sparkling clean.
MyRugCleaner.com is not responsible for any delays caused by carriers and will not discount any order in which delays have occurred.
Freight Damage or Loss
Insurance for Your Fine Rug
We take great care with every rug entrusted to us for cleaning. In addition, all fine rugs are fully insured in transit and at our plant by the Harleysville Insurance company.
Oversize Rugs
The freight rate quoted at check out is for rugs that weigh less than 150 pounds. The customer will be responsible for any and all shipping fees for freight over the UPS maximum weight allowance.
If your rug is 3/4 to 1 inch thick and your rug is larger than a 10 x 13, chances are you will exceed the weight limit for this shipping class.
If indeed you suspect you rug will exceed the weight limit, please call MyRugCleaner.com and an Internet specialist will assist with making arrangements for the pick up and return of your oversize rug.
A rug of this size must be folded so it can fit into the Safety Shipping Pack. Please follow the instructions provided with your Safety Shipping Pack. Baling the rug is a process of folding your rug in preparation for shipment. Baling a rug will not hurt the rug and the process has been done for a thousand years.
Many customers request us to clean custom carved domestic rugs and hand tuffted rugs. These are rugs that have a hard woven secondary back coated in latex. The top of the rug looks like a standard "wall to wall" type carpet that has been pieced together to create a design and bound around the edges with a thin fabric. Hand Tuffted rugs look like hand knotted rugs from the top, but have imitation fringes an a cloth backing glued to the backside of the rug. These rugs can be cleaned but require special handling during transportation. They cannot be folded like a woven oriental rug. These rugs can only be rolled and placed into a shipping sleeve. It is the customer's responsibility to notify our staff if you are asking us to clean a custom rug of this type. Additional fees apply for special handling. If a rug of this type is folded by the customer and sent in for cleaning, we will clean it as requested however, we will return the rug rolled as required. The customer will be responsible to pay any additional fees for freight before the rug is returned. MyRugCleaner.com will not assume any risk of transportation damage by folding and returning a rug of this type.
